You want your wash to go quickly and easily - with no surprises!

Laundry owners have pretty much seen it all and have some good advice!

  1. Clear out your pockets. We've seen all sorts of things come out of people's pockets, from lipsticks to crayons to USB drives. You don't want to lose your favourite lipstick or the documents on your usb drive, and you also don't want to ruin the rest of your clothes in a hot wash that melts those crayons or lipsticks.
  2. Sort your colours before you come too. You want to get in and get out of the laundry and sorting beforehand can save lots of time.
  3. Spray your stains before you come in. Not only will this give your stain spray time to work on the fabric, but will save time and lessen the chance of you either leaving behind your spray bottle or spilling it onto the laundry floor.
  4. Check your timer. Every machine has a timer that will tell you how long the load will take to finish. Make the best use of it and come back just before your load finishes.
  5. Don't be afraid to remove someone's load if it's finished and the time has run out. Lots of customers will wait in front of a machine hoping the owner will come back.- but sometimes people come back hours later and you could have had your load done and be home! Everyone in the laundry industry considers it fine if you remove their clothes and either place it in their basket if they've left it, or carefully place it on the workbench. It's all good!
  6. Use the right wash cycle. If you have heavy, soiled items, use the heavy soil cycle. It's only a dollar more and yet gives you an extra prewash, extra wash cycle and an extra rinse at the end. That's good value and will result in cleaner clothes.
  7. Leave your washing detergent at home. We supply it free. Our detergent especially manufactured low foaming for our new state-of-the-art machines, free of charge. It's gentle, but entirely effective!
